Read This: On Comparing Men’s and Women’s Sports

By: Jimmy Leppert

I read this article, Commentary: Protip — Stop comparing men’s and women’s hockey, for the good of the sport” by Angélica Renée on Minnesota Wild hockey blog, Hockey Wilderness, about women’s and men’s hockey and the current happenings in NCAA Women’s Hockey. When I finished, I thought it paralleled perfectly to ultimate.

Really. If you took that article, ctrl+f ‘hockey’ -> replace with ‘ultimate’, it’s just as relevant.

A lot of the words echo the “Reactions to Unstacking” written here by Amanda Wach.

A lot of the words, between the two articles, echo the same continuous idea.

As Amanda wrote in her article, “WOMEN’S ULTIMATE IS DIFFERENT FROM OPEN AND THAT DOES NOT MEAN LESS THAN.”
